Don’t Miss This Month’s “Ideas on Tap”

The Women’s Foundation of Mississippi (WFM) is excited to participate in the Mississippi Humanities Council’s monthly event, “Ideas on Tap”! This month’s event will focus on sharing ways communities can increase women’s access to equitable healthcare.

Women face many barriers in healthcare due to a lack of representation in medical research and clinical trials, a lack of access to affordable treatment, and, in some cases, treatment bias from healthcare providers. Join us on May 17 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM (CST) for a lively discussion about overcoming these issues and to learn more about how you can support women’s health and equity.

Media specialists speak to emerging Mississippi journalists during an Ideas on Tap event in 2018.

The Mississippi Humanities Council started the “Ideas on Tap” series in 2016 in order to host regular humanities-based community discussions about local issues and contemporary challenges. Each program is unique and features knowledgeable speakers who provide a diverse perspective on the topic being discussed. Past programs have included thorough discussions on the state flag, local legislation, and the future of Mississippi.
